Comparison Catia & Solidworks
Why solidwork datas are used among diffrent industrial company and why Catia is more famous than the other design structure engineer appllication .

in my opinion, I have worked in different industries and I have learned several programs due to my jobs, such as ProE, Inventor, Solidworks, Catia, Alias... I learn as I go. among these programs I have experimented, I know Solidwork is better in complex design than Creo ProE. Inventor is very similar to Solidworks but sucks in assembly mode than Solidworks. As for Catia, I know that this partiular program is very popular in aviation industry. It has class A surfacing that they need for aerodynamics same as Alias has class A surfacing design than Solidworks.
I think it depends on the industry your are in. Solidworks is more for mechanical design.
